Please Note: With migration still ongoing, not all reports and images (prior to January 30, 2023) may be readily available on the new PACS system. Multidisciplinary Breast Conferences
Windsong has been a leader in establishing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This team approach began with the Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care program which dictates that a team of care providers discuss the best and most effective treatment management plan for our newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. The multidisciplinary approach includes radiologists, breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists. In addition, Ob/Gyn and primary care physicians are invited on certain Thursday mornings to review mammograms, breast MRIs, ultrasounds, and tissue pathology slides in a visual presentation. The team collectively determines an individualized surgical and oncological treatment plan.
