Dr. Shaikh started his career working in the Catholic Hospital network of New York City, and received Rookie of the Year honors in his early tenure at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, Queens. “I am a fan of science fiction. At a very early age I saw “Fantastic Voyage” on our Zenith black and white TV and was completely captivated. I was proficient in math and science while growing up. Fortunately, I was also good with my hands, and built several decks over two summers to help pay for med school. The combination of technology and minimally-invasive procedures in the service of patient care immediately drew me to radiology. The advent of genetic and molecular techniques along with individual patient-directed medicine makes this an exciting time to practice radiology.I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such brilliant and compassionate colleagues at Windsong, and I look forward to contributing to our community.”
