Why I chose Interventional Radiology
I chose Interventional Radiology (IR) because it is the future of medicine. No other specialty offers the ability to treat and medically manage so many different diseases and organ systems. As an Interventional Radiologist, you are the expert of the image, the procedure, and most importantly, the patient’s care. I work within a team structure with other physicians to provide patient tailored service to the community. The field of IR is becoming more and more central to the long-term care of patients. In a specialty with such a bright future, I am thrilled to be able to help the people from Western New York and beyond that come to Windsong for care.
Dr. Lekperic’s areas of interest are interventional oncology including Y90 radioembolization, and the treatment of peripheral arterial disease as well as prostate artery embolization for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH).
