Quality Imaging, Board-Certified and Fellowship Trained Radiologists
Windsong employs only board certified, fellowship trained neuro and musculoskeletal radiologists with ACR accreditation for all of our wide bore 1.5 and 3T MRI machines. Our wide bore scanners are the widest available on the market today. The benefits of wide bore scanners include:
- Accommodates larger patients, with a table weight limit of 430 lbs
- Delivers high quality imaging
- More space in the machine to accomodate claustrophobic patients without compromising the image quality
- Shorter exam times than with an open MRI
Late night and Saturday appointments are also available for patient convenience.

MRA provides detailed images of blood vessels without having to insert a catheter directly into an artery. The fellowship trained radiologists at Windsong have a great deal of experience in the non-invasive imaging of blood vessels looking for potential aneurisms, stenosis (narrowing), or occlusions (blockage of blood vessels) that will give you and your doctors the necessary answers. There is no significant recovery time associated with an MRA, and the cost is substantially less, when compared to standard angiography. A very small amount of gadolinium based contrast medium may be injected, unlike catheter angiography, which uses a large volume of iodine-based contrast. MR contrast is very safe and the risk of an allergic reaction is extremely low.
