Position Summary:
In addition to performing functions of X-Ray technologist, supervisory functions as noted. Provides direct patient care in a high volume, fast paced environment to patients of all ages. Contribute to the efficient operation of the X-Ray/IR department, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. 
Essential Functions:

Professional, positive and caring attitude throughout entire patient encounter.
Work with and assist a wide range of individuals in a variety of situations.
Perform requested exams according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards in an accurate, efficient and timely manner; as outlined in X-Ray Department Policy & Procedural Manual.
Demonstrate competency and proficiency in:

Patient positioning
Technique selection
Anatomical knowledge

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their family members, team members, supervisors, managers and Radiologists.
Establish and maintain good rapport and a positive attitude towards all other departments, patients and referring physicians.
Maintain and assign workflow, taking into consideration priority of work and skills of employees.
Evaluate quality of care through observation.
Develop and maintain X-Ray/IR department Policy & Procedure manual.
Perform all related computer skills (PACS, RIS, Medent).
Establish & maintain positive department environment.
Communicate with team regarding department updates and changes.
Make an assessment of training needs.
Ongoing positive and negative employee feedback, including merit and disciplinary actions.
Works with technologist manager(s) to complete annual performance evaluations.
Hold department meeting with manager.
Demonstrates a knowledge of institutional regulations regarding patient care, fire and safety, infection control disaster plan and emergency codes and procedures.
Perform tasks required for accreditation from the American College of Radiology.
Attend regular management meetings to keep abreast of overall issues.
Works toward interdepartmental cooperation with the ultimate goal of excellent and efficient patient care.
Adhere to and uphold all HIPPA and New York State regulations regarding patient privacy as well as standards of ethics set forth by both Windsong Radiology Group.
All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by Administrator or Manager.


Experienced X-Ray Technologist.
Experienced IR Technologist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Maintain and uphold all ARRT/ACR guidelines.
Maintain ARRT and New York State licensing requirements including continuing education credits.
Ability to communicate orally and in the written form; maintain good relations with co-workers and other organizational departments.
Problem solving skills, Critical thinking, Effective time management.
Awareness of other’s reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Basic Lifting as required, not to exceed 35 pounds.
Must be able to stand; sit; walk for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays as well as ability to work additional hours as needed.

Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted, fast-paced, clean medical office environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the essential job functions such as stationary, mobility, operating machinery, convey and exchange information, identify, observe and /or positioning of patients.
Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines/equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, photocopiers, fax systems and calculators.
