Position Summary:
In addition to performing functions of a technologist, performs supervisory functions as noted. Contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their family members, team members, supervisors, managers and RadiologistsEstablish and maintain good rapport and a positive attitude towards all other departments, patients and referring physiciansMaintain and assign workflow, taking into consideration priority of work and skills of employeesEvaluate quality of care through observationPerform all related computer skillsEstablish & maintain positive department environmentMake an assessment of training needsWork with the Mammography Manager on positive and negative feedback to correlate training as necessaryProvides input to Mammography Manager for annual performance evaluationsDemonstrates a knowledge of institutional regulations regarding patient care, fire and safety, infection control disaster plan and emergency codes and proceduresPerform tasks required for accreditation from the American College of RadiologyAttend regular supervisor meetings to keep abreast of overall issuesWorks toward interdepartmental cooperation with the ultimate goal of excellent and efficient patient careAdhere to and uphold all HIPAA and New York State regulations regarding patient privacy as well as standards of ethics set forth by both Windsong Radiology Group.Step into the Manager role and work with the Director of Women’s Services during scheduled and unscheduled absences.All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by administrator or manager.
 
Qualifications:
5 – 7 years’ experience as technologist.Maintain and uphold all ARRT/ACR guidelines.Maintain ARRT and New York State licensing requirements including continuing education credits.Ability to communicate orally and in the written form.Maintain good relations with co-workers and other organizational departments.Problem solving skills, Critical thinking, Effective time management.Awareness of other’s reactions and understanding why they react as they do.Must be able to stand; sit; walk for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.Basic Lifting as required, not to exceed 35 pounds.
 
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted, fast-paced, clean medical office environment.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the essential job functions such as stationary, mobility, operating machinery, convey and exchange information, identify, observe and /or positioning of patients.
 
Equipment:
Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines/equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, photocopiers, fax systems and calculators.
