Job Title: Healthcare Analyst

Perform a variety of accounting and financial reporting and analytic duties in alignment with organizational goals.
Develop detailed annual budget summary, in detail and by month, inclusive of revenue and salary breakdown, liaison, manager discretionary, CME budgets, health/dental/H.S.A. each year and all other expenses.Analyze, summarize and report monthly income statement variances against budgets.Prepare benchmarking summaries/reports/practice statistics – routine and ad hoc as needed across all departments. Example ad-hoc reports may include billing claims info, hours (identification of paid versus unpaid hours, worked versus unworked/paid hours), derive FTE/conversions/maintain position control, derive average reimbursement for top codes, report WRVUs by doctor, including manipulation of data to address special circumstances, marketing info (top referring list w/related fields), scheduling info, etc. (reporting in detail and in summary as needed). Deliver ad-hoc reports and analyses and develop financial models to help us better understand performance, trends and impacts of decisions.Work w/accounting staff for review/delivery of accurate, well-presented financial statements & metrics. Cross-train in various accounting functions from the bottom up as experience level entails. This will provide better insight to operations and also fill need for cross-coverage in small accounting department.Work with managers, supervisors and others throughout the organization to develop tools to improve reporting, analytics, proforma needs and overall efficiencies.Develop presentations and reporting to senior management on financial and operational performance including drivers of variances and analytic insights.Continuously improve the current processes for management reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness and level of support for the business.Provide financial and analytic support to senior management in advancing strategic business initiatives.Works within departmental team as well as other departments to ensure timely, accurate completion of all required functions.Learn other duties as assigned and/or train staff for proper department cross-training.Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with vendors, team members, supervisors, managers, executive level management and radiologists.Establish and maintain good rapport and a positive attitude towards all other departments.Exercise a high degree of judgment and initiative including owning tasks from concept to delivery);Analyze company needs/goals and summarize raw data to get to root of analysis and document concisely. Self-starter – recognize needs and takes appropriate action.Driven towards efficiency.Strong sense of urgency, priorities/multi-tasking.Critical thinking and ability to dissect complex issues.Responsible for timely, accurate and complete reporting.Strong communication skills including accurate and concise summary of analytic findings.Work to establish standard operating procedures for key functions.Ensure consistent application and enforcement of all company policies.Adhere to and uphold all HIPAA and New York State regulations regarding patient privacy as well as standards of ethics set forth by Windsong Radiology Group.Safeguard sensitive info emailed/shared, including revenue/salary info, cash, checks, bank accounts, credit cards, etc.All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by senior management.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance/Healthcare Management and minimum of 1-2 years professional experience in healthcare accounting or finance.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills with ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form.Analytical thinking, problem solving, and effective time management.Working knowledge of various software, including accounting G/L software, RIS & Billing systems and related Dashboards reporting, Payroll system, Microsoft Office programs and various other. Able to learn reporting on other systems, i.e. Payroll system and Dashboards.Use of high-functioning Excel formulas. Database experience a plus.Ability to work extended/flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays as needed.
Works in fast-paced, clean, air conditioned, properly lit environment.
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the essential job functions such as stationary, mobility, operating machinery, convey and exchange information.
Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines/equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, photocopiers, fax systems and calculators.
