Position Summary:
Provide pertinent clinical information and outside images to complete chart preparation for hitech  patient appointments and complete other miscellaneous tasks as requested by Sr. Manager of Imaging Services.
 
Essential Functions:
Consistently maintain a professional and positive attitude.Maintain HEALTHeLINK login and agree to abide by all rules for usage.Maintain high level of confidentiality recognizing and following HIPAA regulations with regard to patient information at every level within and outside of Windsong Radiology.Download /print all applicable medical reports and import or request relevant imagesPerform all related computer skills (PACS, RIS tracking)Immediately notify department manager of any problems relating to safety, equipment or patients.Report HEALTHeLINK downtime to Informatics and appropriate Managers/SupervisorsEffectively communicate with patients and their family members, team members, supervisors, managers, Radiologists, referring Physicians and outside laboratories.Establish and maintain good rapport and a positive attitude towards all other departments, patients and referring physicians.Maintain an organized and efficient work area.Maintain daily communication with the Sr. Clinical Manager or CT/MR Supervisor with respect to progress performing chart prepAdhere to and uphold all HIPAA and New York State regulations regarding patient privacy as well as standards of ethics set forth by Windsong Radiology Group.All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by Administrator or Manager.
 
Qualifications:
LPN, EMT, Medical Assistant or 3 years of experience in clinical support work with knowledge of medical terminology.High level understanding of discretion and professionalism with exposure to confidential information.Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.Excellent customer service skills with ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form.Must be able to stand; sit; walk for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays as well as ability to work additional hours as needed.
 
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted, fast-paced, clean medical office environment.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the essential job functions such as stationary, mobility, operating machinery, convey and exchange information, identify, observe and /or positioning of patients.
 
Equipment:
Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines/equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, photocopiers, fax systems and calculators.
