Position Summary:
Works collaboratively with Physicians and Sr. Manager of Imaging Services to maintain an open line of communication.
 
Essential Functions:

Handle reading room issues (lighting / HVAC/cleaning/chair & desk repairs)
Handle appropriate RAD requests (Run / Fetch / Swap charts)
Manage administrative aspects of ACR submissions- application, payment….
Assist with new team member Orientation tasks
Manage requested supplies
Launch / follow up on IT tickets
Launch / follow up on Maintenance tickets
Regularly clean up special clients (VITREA; CADSTREAM)
Locate references for policy changes or requests by RADS
Handle lab coat exchange
Coordinate / set up for physician vacation draft
HealthElink – download outside reports / images for immediate requests
Perform Case Follow-up (investigate pt. outcomes when RADS request)
Arrange meetings / send out invites / reserve rooms
Coordinate refreshment/meal orders for special and emergent occasions
Typing requests (protocols; policies)
Payroll (input schedules; correct missing punches….I would handle final approvals at end of pay periods)
Payroll weekend audits/physician questions
Coordinate teambuilding events
Manage film badges (adding; deleting; distributing for CT and Nuc)
Handle dept. and cleaning issues
Fetch data/statistics when needed from appropriate source (productivity reports)
Gather requested stats from PACS (ex: % prostate MR bx recommended)
Arrange dept. meetings; take/distribute meeting minutes
Take/distribute misc. meeting minutes (Radiation Safety Committee; HIPAA Compliance)
Perform research on requested topics
Track form returns for all hitech areas (occurs several times per year – RSVPs, policy manual change signoff, Town meeting forms follow up…)
Serve as backup PCA in the event of emergency shortage
Track physician requests / responses
All other temporary and/or permanent duties as assigned by Administrator or Manager.

 
Qualifications:

LPN, EMT, Medical Assistant or 3 years of experience in clinical support work with knowledge of medical terminology.
High level understanding of discretion and professionalism with exposure to confidential information.
Strong computer analytics experience
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills with ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form.
Must be able to stand; sit; walk for extended periods of time with the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail.
Responsible, excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, multitasking/prioritizing ability, good organizational skills, strong typing skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as well as ability to work additional hours as needed.

 
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted, fast-paced, clean medical office environment.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with the essential job functions such as stationary, mobility, operating machinery, convey and exchange information.
 
Equipment:
Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines/equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phones, photocopiers, fax systems and calculators.
